Homeschool Umbrella Program

Homeschool Umbrella Program
Home Oversight Ministry in Education (HOME) is an umbrella and tutorial program under the guidance of Arlington Baptist Church and School. HOME’s mission is to support parents seeking to train their children in the wisdom of God through home education. As a Christ-centered ministry, HOME is committed to assisting homeschooling families through:
- Legal oversight
- Counseling and support
- Record keeping
- Testing services
- Sports & extracurricular activities
- High School Diploma Program
- High school graduation ceremony and activities
- Academic support through enrollment in Arlington Baptist School classes
HOME reflects the values and mission of Arlington Baptist School. It offers a way for homeschooling students to participate in the Arlington Baptist School community by taking classes as part of HOME’s tutorial program, attending chapel, participating on sports teams and in extracurricular activities, or participating in the high school graduation ceremony and activities.
The
HOME Umbrella Program is approved and registered with the Maryland State Department of Education to supervise home instruction. The HOME Umbrella Program covers the entire state of Maryland, twenty-three counties, and Baltimore City. Since 1994, HOME has supported nearly a thousand families from various Bible-believing churches and continues to add new families each year.
