Our Program

Over 20 years ago, Arlington Baptist Church started an outreach summer program for children in the Windsor Mill area. The main goal of that program was to provide a healthy atmosphere for children to learn more about a God who loves them so much that He sent His only Son to die for their sins. Over the many years, the program has changed in name, but its purpose is still the same – to provide a fun atmosphere in which your child can grow spiritually, socially, and academically.

Arlington Summer Blast strives to provide exciting, hands-on learning opportunities and physically challenging activities for each of our campers. We accomplish this by providing a weekly swimming trip, a weekly field trip,  weekly academic review, and much more. However, the most important parts of the day are our chapel and our Bible memory/review time.

This year, campers will also have the opportunity to participate elective enrichment programs. To help produce more well-rounded campers, creative outlets such as computer applications and technology, sports instruction, and arts & crafts will be offered each week. More information is available on our Enrichment page.

Once a week, we strive to provide entertaining and educational field trips.   Click here to view our 2017 field trip destinations.   (Continue to check back for our 2018 field trip dates.)

Arlington Baptist School came into existence in 1969 as an educational ministry of Arlington Baptist Church. Students enrolled at Arlington are given a quality Christian educational experience, where Christ-likeness is the goal of instruction and the Bible is at the heart of every curriculum. Through rigorous academics and biblical curriculum, Arlington Baptist School guides students to pursue a Christian world view, a passion for life-long learning, and a successful career.  There are over 1,400 Arlington alumni, many of whom are serving the Lord, throughout the world.

Weather related school delays and school closings policy:

Arlington Baptist School will follow the Baltimore County School System for weather-related school closings, late openings, and early closings.  If the Baltimore County Schools are opening late due to inclement weather, then ABS will be opening late as well.  You will be able to get this information on WJZ Channel 13, WBAL Channel 11, and through parent email or text.
