Our Mission

Arlington Summer Blast, a ministry of Arlington Baptist School, exists to bring young people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, to teach them God's truths, and to provide safe, fun, and enriching summer recreation to children in the Baltimore, Maryland area.

We fulfill our mission by:

  • conducting daily chapels where the gospel of Jesus Christ is uniquely and clearly presented and where children are taught to properly serve God,

  • staffing the program with godly men and women who have been carefully screened and trained as counselors,

  • organizing field trips and daily activities that provide a wholesome and rich environment for the children,

  • providing positive reinforcement to those children who complete verse memory work as well as to those who exemplify commendable Christian conduct,

  • encouraging, building up, and edifying those who fall short of exhibiting commendable Christian conduct at all levels,

  • teaching children to seek God, love their neighbor, and bear fruit as disciples of Jesus Christ, and

  • encouraging definite spiritual decisions at the level of each child's readiness.

Arlington Baptist School came into existence in 1969 as an educational ministry of Arlington Baptist Church. Students enrolled at Arlington are given a quality Christian educational experience, where Christ-likeness is the goal of instruction and the Bible is at the heart of every curriculum. Through rigorous academics and biblical curriculum, Arlington Baptist School guides students to pursue a Christian world view, a passion for life-long learning, and a successful career.  There are over 1,400 Arlington alumni, many of whom are serving the Lord, throughout the world.
